• Stop shoulding, start wanting.
LIKE, BELIEVE, FEEL, SEE, etc.
• Are you seeing what I’m seeing?
• I’m loving it.
• And I’m feeling good.
• Stop shoulding, start wanting. —Judith Quin
• Shoulding all over yourself sucks. —Jessi Kneeland
• We get into trouble shoulding ourselves when it takes the form of an automatic thought. — John Tagg
• Stop should-ing and must-urbаting your life away. This headline is not click bait. The article is about must-urbаtion and should-ing. —Rachel Wright
• Stop 'shoulding' yourself to death! How to break free from the 'should police' and re-discover 'want'! —Nancy Colier
• But instead of success, sometimes we just end up 'shoulding' all over ourselves. —Aimee Dufrense
BEING SHOULDED:
• Do you get fed up with being shoulded on? —Dana Rayburn
• Chirlane McCray, first lady of New York City, recalls being shoulded on in the ugliest way. —'The Fifth Trimester: The Working Mom's Guide to Style, Sanity, and Success' by L. Brody
• I also haven't met too many folks who enjoy being 'shoulded'. —Cameron Airen
• One of these thinking styles is called 'shoulding and musting'. —Centre for Clinical Interventions, Australia
• Musting is like working to meet a deadline while ignoring everything else. Musting is stress, is the pure expression of stress. —Kevin Everett FitzMaurice
• Keeping the faith is oughting. —'Know Thyself: An Essay on Social Personalism' by T. Buford
• The act of knowing rests on a relation of believing, trusting, and oughting. —'Trust, Our Second Nature: Crisis, Reconciliation, and the Personal' by T. Buford
• We could hear the gentleman singing to himself, something about woulding he was a bird that he might fly to thee. —'New Treasure Seekers' by E. Nesbit, 1904-1925
• The bosun is just going to report that the mainyard is probably sprung in the slings: the mizen doubtful in the woulding: the beakhead bulkhead is stove. —Woulding, Webster’s dictionary, 1913
• Wishing and woulding, if that be all, are not praying. —'Commentary on the Whole Bible Volume VI (Acts to Revelation)' by Matthew Henry, 17-18 centuries
• Someone call easily rouse you, as they woulding your name will no longer easily rouse you, as they would from Stage II sleep; instead, you may be oblivious to the sound. —'Solve your child’s problem' by R. Ferber, 1985
